Here is a wonderful way to introduce the concept of patterning to young children as they are reminded of characters in the Old and New Testament. Children may work individually or in small groups using any of the 24 patterning pages with plastic or wood pattern blocks. They are encouraged to color their page with crayons, and then fill the outlined blocks with as many combinations of pattern blocks as possible. This activity helps young people look for more than one way to solve a problem.
Here is a wonderful way to introduce the concept of patterning, spatial relations and problem solving to young children as they are introduced to characters in the Old and New Testament. While working individually or in small groups on one of the 24 patterning pages using plastic or wood pattern blocks, each child is encouraged to color the page with crayons, and then fill the outlined blocks with as many combinations of pattern blocks as possible.
